Rivers, Oceans, Lands, Ecology (R.O.L.E.) Foundation is a not-for-profit humanitarian organization based in Bali, whose aims are to promote environmental awareness and empower women.
Join our in-country partners in their support of local women engaged in the program. As you spend the day side by side with these women hearing their stories, learn how they are receiving skills education and finding better-paying jobs in the hospitality industry – the biggest industry in Bali, breaking the poverty cycle in Indonesia.
What is the minimum recommended age for a child to best and safely enjoy your destination? Traveling to Indonesia is suitable for all ages. Especially Bali offers so much fun activities, the beaches in southern areas are also a perfect family destination to visit.
What are the best times of year to visit your destination to avoid crowds and enjoy good weather? Indonesia is a tropical country with fairly even climate all year round. The weather pattern is divided into two distinct seasons; “wet” and “dry”. May is one of the best months to visit Indonesia: dry, sunny days are the norm, but peak season is still a couple of months away. While September is a great time to visit Java to take advantage of peak weather conditions without peak crowds at the popular tourist spots of Yogyakarta and Borobudur.
What are less than desireable times to visit? December and January are the wettest months of the year across Indonesia, with monsoon season in full swing and the end-year holiday season where everywhere is crowded.
What is your high season, low season and shoulder season?
Is a visa required? Visitors are required to have a visa to enter Indonesia, obtained either beforehand or on arrival, but please take note also of the visa free for shorter visits.
