Visit a donkey sanctuary driving north east out of Killarney and you reach the county of Cork and the Donkey Sanctuary, an open farm home to 134 donkeys. Their mission is to transform the quality of lives of donkeys and mules by creating a greater understanding and appreciation of these animals. Your CommUnity Impact afternoon starts with a greeting by the farm supervisor who will introduce you to the resident donkeys. You’ll then be treated to a fun and informative talk on what the sanctuary does and their history.
