Donkey Sanctuary

Visit a donkey sanctuary driving north east out of Killarney and you reach the county of Cork and the Donkey Sanctuary, an open farm home to 134 donkeys. Their mission is to transform the quality of lives of donkeys and mules by creating a greater understanding and appreciation of these animals. Your CommUnity Impact afternoon starts with a greeting by the farm supervisor who will introduce you to the resident donkeys. You’ll then be treated to a fun and informative talk on what the sanctuary does and their history.

Preparing for Ireland

  • Children under 12 receive a new friend, Isla, who comes with a storybook telling what his life is like in Ireland
  • The whole family will receive recipes, books and movies preparing them for their trip
  • Travel to Ireland is suitable for all ages.
  • The best months of the year are April, May, June, September and October however anytime in between late March and mid November is great to visit.
  • A valid passport is required with six months before expiration for entry into Ireland.
